Enforced by check_manga_story_authored.py. A (series, episode) cannot enter the render queue without an authored chapter_script_writer_handoff with ≥ 6 authored panels and no stub markers — a bare series_plan is a listing, not a story.
Enforced by check_render_progress_bytes.py. A RENDER_PROGRESS.tsv row marked ok/done with fewer than 50,000 bytes (or a missing image under --require-images) cannot merge — fix by rendering real panels, never by editing the byte column.
Honest status per integration — degraded and at-risk states are shown as such, not painted green.

RTX 5070 Ti, 16.6GB VRAM, CUDA live and rendering. But 11.6GB was held by an unidentified process as of 2026-08-10 — not ComfyUI's allocator (1.9GB), not Ollama (0GB). ComfyUI and Ollama share one card at full speed, never both. GPU-backed LLM throughput is currently unmeasured, not confirmed slow.
Silently falls back to CPU when a model doesn't fit in free VRAM — no warning emitted. Measured: qwen2.5:14b at 0.0GB on GPU → 6.0 tok/s (CPU). Always check size_vram via /api/ps before quoting throughput; a figure taken without that check is not a hardware measurement.
NIM Magpie is primary (invocation subdomain endpoint, multipart/form-data, voices verified 2026-08-09). Pearl Star fallback at 100.92.68.74:9000/api/v1/tts (JSON in, WAV out; english/japanese/chinese speakers). No single point of failure today.
